Continue to like this. An overarching moral authority is a solid road map for an honest life. But the temptation to stray is intense, because, for someone like Cody, gay dudes you both know, and are attracted to, are very rare. Your story reminds me a bit of the movie 'surfacing.' It's probably just me, but I'd love some more Cody anguish. And some more flaws. He's not suffering mentally enough for me :) Something along the lines of the temptations of Christ. Or Sophie's choice.
